ANN O'MAHONY

Ann has been an active member of CAPRN since 1985, bringing decades of dedication and experience to the network. Her early involvement began with the Cork Women’s Action Group, where she played a key role along with other members in establishing Mná Feasa in 1991. Ann went on to coordinate the service for 22 years, providing leadership and advocacy for countless women.


Alongside her community work, Ann has spent the past 30 years working as a psychotherapist with both individuals and groups.


This experience has given her a deep understanding of the challenges people face and further strengthened her commitment to creating supportive, resilient communities.


With a background in finance and accounts, Ann contributes invaluable expertise to CAPRN’s growth and sustainability. In recognition of her commitment and skills, she joined the Board of Directors in 2022, where she continues to support the network’s mission and development. Beyond her professional and community roles, Ann is passionate about animal welfare and rescue, dedicating her time and care to protecting and supporting animals in need.
